Welcome to the Payton's in Harlingen, Texas

Laid back....

(Please note: Placing the cursor over a picture gives you some info on it (works for most browsers).)

On September 21, on the first cool day of fall, 34 PSST members gathered at the home of Danny and Kathy Payton in Harlingen. With their large covered patio, the occasional light rain had no effect on the meeting. Due to unfortunate circumstances, the Paytons were unable to attend the meeting. However, across-the-street neighbors, John and Mary Barkkari, stepped in as substitute hosts. The Paytons, along with their caterer, gardener, and Aunt Glenda, provided a most enjoyable afternoon. A sumptuous lunch was served, including barbecued brisket, potato salad, beans, and the impressive amount of salads, side dishes, and desserts brought by members.
After a short business meeting, the Fall Bulletin was distributed to all members present. In addition, 15 majesty palms from a farm in Los Fresnos were given away to members who wanted them at no charge. After touring the yard and gardens, members said good-by to one another and began their journeys home

The next meeting will be held on October 19 at the home of John, Yong, and Blake Volk in western San Antonio.
