Welcome to Arroyo City, Texas

(Please note: Placing the cursor over a picture gives you some info on it....)

On March 16, some 68 PSST members and guests gathered at the beautiful home of Glenn and Rose Mary Head in Arroyo City. Their property lies on the south bank of the navigable Arroyo Colorado. Our hosts provided the main course of pulled pork sandwiches with trimmings, coleslaw, and drinks. Members brought a generous array of salads, side dishes, and desserts. Tables and chairs were set up in the front yard under shade trees. Glenn provided a game of “identify the numbered palms” scattered throughout the front, back, and side yards.

After everyone was sufficiently stuffed with the delicious food, a short business meeting was held, including the distribution of the Spring Bulletin. Then the spring auction began—members brought an astonishing number of palms and tropical plants which afforded lots of bidding action. Needless to say, the auction was a tremendous success.

After more tours of the property where all palms were identified with placards, members began their journeys home. The next meeting will be held on April 27 in San Antonio.
