palmy patio After a miserable winter day on January 24, the weather underwent an almost miraculous improvement for the PSST meeting on the 25th. Some 48 hardy PSST members gathered on the covered patio at the home of Danny and Kathy Payton in Harlingen for a very enjoyable meeting. Fires in the chimeneas kept the area warm so that only light jackets or sweaters were needed.

Our hosts provided different types of fajitas and a huge pot of beans, and members brought the usual amazing array of salads, side dishes, and desserts. After everyone was sufficiently filled with the delicious food, a short business meeting was conducted by president Jon Watson. John Dillard accepted dues for 2014 and discussed future meetings. Then members were free to visit with one another and tour the large yard until time to return home.

There will be no meeting in February. The next PSST meeting will be held on March 15 in Brownsville at the home of Greg and Nery Vail, and co-hosted by Alejandra Gomez and Tere Whitley.
