Welcome to the home of Jon and Suzie Watson

palmy view from the street...

On a sunny, warm and thankfully breezy afternoon, the members of PSST gathered at the house of Jon and Suzie Watson on Padre Island. The house and garden sit on a wonderful water inlet and couple that view with the copious amount of palms planted, and it truly gives one a tropical feel! Over the years, the palms with Jon's unique feeding/irrigation system have grown in leaps and bounds. The garden has a nice mature feel to it these days and will only continue to flourish under his care. The Watson's provided a wonderful buffet for luncheon, which included fried chicken, mashed potatoes, various salads and of course, wonderful desserts! After some initial socializing and palm gawking, members participated in this wonderful meal! After lunch, we had a short society meeting covering a local botanical event that we needed volunteers for, covered the treasury report and up coming meeting. After the society meeting, members hung around to socialize and take in the wonderful weather. Our next society meeting will be in the valley, hope to see you there!
